ATC Systems Engineer (Air Traffic Control)
Term: Permanent
Location: South of England
Salary 35,000GBP - 40,000GBP depending on experience.
We are currently looking for an experience ATC (Air Traffic Control) systems engineer for a leading project based aviation systems integrator delivering turnkey projects to civil and defence airports and Civil Aviation Authorities worldwide.
Experience required
Minimum 5 years ATC Systems Engineering - Highly Desirable
UK Airport Experience - Highly Desirable
Project Engineering Experience (System Design, Project Planning,) - Desirable
Current, practical "hands-on" experience of installation and commissioning - High Desirable.
Experience of working on airports "airside"
Good working knowledge and understanding of construction industry practices, and health & safety
aspects, for working on building sites.
Skills and Qualifications:
Preferably HNC (or equivalent) qualified in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
Good RF knowledge and skills - Highly Desirable
Excellent IT skills - Essential
Excellent Customer Facing Skills - Highly Desirable
Requirements of the Job:
Work both in UK and abroad as required
Work independently and as part of a small team
Provide comprehensive support to Project Management team
Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
Will have experience on some or all of the following:
Navigation Aids (ILS, VOR, DME, NDB, DF)
Communications (VCCS, Radio Systems, Antenna Systems, Cabling Systems)
Radar (PSR, SSR, SMR)
Control and Monitoring Systems
Fibre, Copper and Wireless Networks
The role is based in the south of England but there will be worldwide travel and occasionally missions in-country from up to 6 months at a time. EU Citizens only. security clearance via Disclosure Scotland will be required for airside security passes.
